HELP US HELP YOU!
Dear Pennsylvania Vending Operator,

In an effort to organize and improve our security network among "all" Pennsylvania vending companies, Tri-State is urging all vending operators to comply with the following request.

PLEASE REPORT ALL ROBBERY INCIDENTS TO THE PAMC SECURITY COMMITTEE, IMMEDIATELY!

Fax your information to our NAMA East Coast office for review and immediate broadcast fax to all member and non member companies in our security fax database.

It has come to the attention of the Tri-State board that there seems to be a semi-organized criminal element in our state that may be targeting vending companies and/or their respective vehicles for robbery.

A pattern has developed in our review of the latest (last 5 months) Membership security reports which may be indicative of truck locks being stolen, thus, giving the criminal an opportunity to duplicate route keys.

We understand that sometimes a vending manager owner may be reluctant to report such incidents feeling that the industry would view their security measures lax or non-existent.

NO SYSTEM IS PERFECT!

The robbery information supplied will help in the tracking and capture of the individual perpetrators, or group, which benefits all of Pennsylvania's Vending Industry.

Please be as accurate as possible when submitting your security incident report. Information is power; Let's use it to our advantage!

Any questions about this initiative please contact me at 1-800-858-2705,
EMAIL: jwittler@betson.com or our East Coast NAMA office at 1-703-435-1210.

THE ONLY CRIME IS WHEN YOU DON'T REPORT ONE!
Thank you for your participation, in advance

RECENT ROBBERY

It was reported to Gellman Associates today that two vending operators have had several robberies recently. Last week Have A Vend had a transit location where someone popped the cylinders and locks out of the machines and took the money. This was in Northeast Philadelphia around Red Lion Road , Grant Avenue and the Roosevelt Boulevard.

Also, last evening two men appeared in a bakery company lunch room at 7 pm. When asked what they were doing there they said looking for an application. The worker told them that they could not get one there and then left them in the lunchroom alone. They again popped the locks and cylinders and took the money.

Elliot’s Vending Company reports that two of their hotels (one in Bristol, PA and one in Willow Grove, PA) and a nursing home in the Northeast have recently had their machine’s broken into. All the same way---someone popped the cylinders and locks and took the money.

This notification is to make other operators aware of these happenings and to be on the lookout.
